Terms of use

The rules for using Unify Ops: accounts, collabs, payments, content and what happens when something goes wrong.

Last updated 18 October 2026

The short version

  • Unify Ops is a marketplace. Brands post collabs, creators pitch, and the two agree the deal directly.
  • Brands pay the creator's fee plus an 8% platform fee and GST on it when they hire. Creators pay nothing.
  • We hold the fee until the brand approves the work, then our team pays the creator by UPI or bank transfer, with a bank reference (UTR).
  • Creators own what they make. Brands get the usage agreed on the collab.
  • Be truthful, label paid content, and keep deals and payments on the platform.

01Who we are

Unify Ops is run by the tryunifyops team ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us when you use app.tryunifyops.com or any part of the service.

We provide the place where brands and creators meet, agree and pay. We aren't a party to the deal between a brand and a creator, and we don't act as either side's agent.

02Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding contract in India.
  • Each account is either a brand or a creator. Write to us if you picked the wrong side.
  • Keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Use your real name and, for brands, a company you're allowed to act for.

03Brand checks

A person on our team checks every brand before its first collab goes live, usually within 4 working hours (Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm India time). We may ask for more information, and we can decline a brand with a reason.

Private offers to creators open once a brand is verified, so creators only ever hear from checked brands.

04Collabs, pitches and the deal

A collab sets out what the brand wants: deliverables, usage, who can apply, the fee, any product and the due date. Creators who match can pitch with their profile.

When a brand shortlists a creator, the two agree the details in that collab's chat. What's written in the collab and agreed in the chat is the deal. Changes agreed in the chat replace the original details.

A brand hires a creator by paying. The hire starts only when the payment is confirmed.

05Fees and payments

Creating an account, posting collabs and pitching are free. When a brand hires, it pays the creator's fee plus an 8% platform fee and 18% GST on that platform fee. For example, a ₹15,000 fee costs the brand ₹16,416: ₹15,000 for the creator, ₹1,200 platform fee and ₹216 GST.

While Unify Ops is in its first phase, our team handles payments by hand. The brand pays the fee to tryunifyops before the creator starts. We confirm the payment and hold the money while the creator works.

When the brand approves the work, we send the creator's fee to their UPI ID or bank account, usually within 48 hours, with the bank reference (UTR). Approval is final: the fee can't be taken back after it.

A person on our team handles every payout, and creators can reach them on WhatsApp. Creators pay nothing: our fee is charged to the brand.

Automated payments will replace this. We'll tell you in the app before they do, and update these terms.

The platform fee and GST are ours and aren't refunded once the creator has started work, except as the Refund policy says.

06Taxes

Each side is responsible for its own taxes. Creators are responsible for income tax and, where it applies, GST on what they earn.

We ask creators for their PAN because payments to them are reported against it. If the law requires us to deduct tax at source, we'll deduct it, show it on the payout and give you the certificate.

GST invoices for the platform fee are issued to brands. Until they're generated automatically, write to us for one.

07Content and usage rights

Creators keep ownership of everything they make.

When a hire is paid and the work approved, the brand gets the usage written on the collab:

  • Organic posting only: the creator posts it on their account, and the brand can reshare it with credit.
  • 30-day ad usage: as above, and the brand can also run it as a paid ad for 30 days from the approval date.

Anything beyond that, such as longer ad usage, whitelisting or edits by the brand, needs the creator's agreement in the chat.

08What's not allowed

  • Showing numbers that aren't true. Profile numbers, whether entered by hand or taken from a connected account, must be accurate and current.
  • Paid or gifted content without a clear disclosure. Creators must follow the ASCI guidelines for influencer advertising, for example by using the platform's paid-partnership label or #ad.
  • Collabs for products or services that are illegal in India, or for alcohol, tobacco, betting or gambling, adult content, weapons, or health claims that can't be backed up.
  • Taking a deal that started here off the platform to avoid the fee. Payments made off the platform aren't held or protected by us.
  • Harassment, hate, spam, or sharing someone else's personal details.
  • Scraping, reverse engineering or getting around the service's security.

We can remove a collab, pause a deal or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you why.

09When something goes wrong

Most problems are solved in the chat. If they aren't, write to us with the collab's name. We look at the collab, the chat and the work, then decide whether the fee is released, split or refunded. The Refund policy sets out how.

Our decision on where held money goes is final for the money we hold. It doesn't stop either side from taking other legal action against the other.

10Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the service running and your money safe, but we provide the service as it is. We aren't responsible for the quality of a creator's work, a brand's product, or what either side says or does outside the service.

As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the 6 months before the claim. Nothing here limits what can't be limited by law.

11Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.

You can stop using the service at any time. Write to us to close your account. Deals already paid for are finished first.

12Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in India decide any dispute.

Grievance officer: write to hello@tryunifyops.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days, as the IT Rules, 2021 require.
