What we collect
- Account: your name and email from Google sign-in, and whether you're a brand or a creator.
- Brands: company name, website, industry, your role and work email, and what you need from creators.
- Creators: display name, Instagram handle, city, niches, what you make, your numbers, audience line, rates, best-work links and bio.
- Creators' mobile number, when you join as a Founding Creator, with your consent to WhatsApp or SMS updates about matches and payments, and when you gave it.
- Instagram verification (creators): the code we give you and the Instagram direct message you send it in, so we can see it came from your own handle.
- Payout details (creators): legal name as on PAN, PAN, and a UPI ID or bank account with IFSC.
- Deals: collabs, pitches, offers, chat messages, shipping and tracking details, submitted work links, approvals and ratings.
- Payments: amounts, Razorpay order and payment ids, and the payment method type. Not card numbers.
- Technical: sign-in sessions (device and browser), and server logs kept to keep the service secure.
Why we use it
- To run the marketplace: show your profile or collab, match creators to collabs, carry the chat and deal, and move money.
- To check brands before their first collab goes live, spot-check creator numbers, and confirm a creator's Instagram account is theirs.
- To reach creators about brand matches and payments by WhatsApp or SMS, using the mobile number they gave us, only if they agreed to it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us, and we delete the number.
- To pay creators and meet tax reporting duties, which is why we need a PAN.
- To keep the service safe: stop fraud, fake accounts and misuse.
- To tell you about things that need you, in the app.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who sees what
- Your public profile (creators) and your brand page and collabs (brands) can be seen by people on the service, and profile links can be shared.
- The other side of a deal sees the chat, the deal details and what's needed to finish it.
- Our team sees what it needs to check brands, help with deals and pay out.
- Razorpay processes payments. Amazon Web Services hosts the service. Google handles sign-in. Each is bound to protect the data and use it only for us.
- Tax authorities or courts, when the law requires it.
Your monthly budget (brands), and your mobile number and payout details (creators), are never shown to the other side or on your profile. Only our team can see a creator's mobile number, and each time someone does, it's recorded.
Where it's kept and how it's protected
Data is stored with Amazon Web Services in Singapore. Payout details and creators' mobile numbers are sealed with encryption keys held in AWS Key Management Service: only the payments system can unseal payout details, and only the creators system can unseal mobile numbers, for our team. Sign-in uses short-lived tokens, and cookies can't be read by page scripts.
Each part of the service keeps its own data and can only be reached with signed internal calls.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. When you close it, we delete or anonymise your profile and messages, except for deal, payment and tax records, which Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep for up to 8 years.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to:
- see the personal data we hold about you and who we've shared it with;
- correct or update it (most of it you can edit yourself in the app);
- delete it, apart from records the law makes us keep;
- name someone to act for you if you can't;
- complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
Write to hello@tryunifyops.com. We reply within 7 days and act within 30.

The service is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

If we change how we use your data, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
